Meet Minister McBroom
Minister Belinda McBroom is a licensed minister, missionary and author of the book “Ghana: West Africa Mission 1999”. Her missionary work and her never ending faith in God led to writing her book describing a trip to Ghana, West Africa in 1999. She found the trip to be a glorious personal experience which also served to further strengthen her faith in God.
An important purpose of her mission to Ghana, was to learn more about its people, their cultures and traditions in hope that she will be able to help clear up current and past misconceptions about this African country.
“Ghana: West Africa Mission 1999” A Personal Experience
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. – (Matthew 28:19-20)
We were taught well by our Pastor to be submissive to the will of God. As the Lord continued to speak through him, missionary teams from our church organized and traveled to various parts of the world, spreading the word of God. It was easy to say yes to the Lord when Pastor spoke to us about missions. He directed the congregation to “Get your passport ready.”
Our missionary travels eventually took me to the African country of Ghana. Visiting this beautiful country of diverse people and cultures was the inspiration for writing this book. As I learned more and more about its people and cultures, I developed a desire to share my knowledge and help others to better understand and appreciate the people and cultures of this country. I pray that sharing my knowledge will help remove some of the past and present misconceptions of Ghana and its people.
